Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - So far, so good

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
I'm at the beginning of chapter 13. My first major observation so far concerns the pacing. It's really good. I started my first playthrough on hard and though the action is sort of slow in the first few chapters, once you get into it, it rarely stops for long.

Where as Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was a little unrelenting on the higher difficulty settings, Uncharted 2 is, and this sounds like a critique, a little more forgiving. Theres just as much action, probably more, in part 2, its just spread out a little more, so you don't spend forever trying to clear one big room. In Uncharted 2, the combat is a little more spread out, so its not the brutal assault of part 2. Where as Uncharted was more of a typical pop album, slow song, fast song, slow song, fast song. Uncharted 2 has the electricity of good jazz, with just the right amount of action sprinkled in here and there to keep you interested and just enough exposition to keep you engaged in the narrative. The gameplay is wonderfully immersive, and its extremely hard to put it down once you start. Were it not for the fact that I'm married and have a job, i'd be playing it right now.
